NORTH Yorkshire Police have said the elderly man who was knocked down in Skipton's Sackville Street on Friday afternoon has been released from hospital.
TC Andrew Ingrahm tweeted: "Air ambulance called after pedestrian knocked down in Skipton. Glad to say pedestrian is out of hospital and minor injury only. Very lucky.
Police and the ambulance service, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, were called to the scene at 12.09pm.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called and landed in the adjacent bus station car park, however, the injured man, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
