POLICE are appealing for information after two working border collies were stolen from an area near Skipton.

On Thursday, January 23, a black, white and tan border collie bitch had her chain cut and was taken from the location of Clogger Lane, in Elslack, where she was kennelled.

On Saturday, January 25, the other dog which was also kennelled on Clogger Lane, a black, white and tan border collie dog also had his chain cut and was taken from the area.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Both dogs have been missing since these incidents and we are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances.
