AN application form to build 38 homes on land to the south of Brockhole View, in Settle, has been submitted to the district council.

Developers Francmanis Properties proposes to allocate 11 of the properties as affordable homes which will be a mix of two one-bed homes, six two-bed homes and three, three-bed homes. The affordable homes would represent 30 per cent of the development.

Private sales properties would comprise three, four and five bed homes. All would be two-storey homes, apart from one single-storey property.

A total of 101 parking spaces have been allocated for the whole of the development.

The south of the site would have a large proportion of green amenity space.

Settle Town Council members said they had no objections to the plans.

Town council chairman Cllr Dan Balsamini said. “It is the same developer who built the homes in Brockhole View so they should blend in. They have a good track record of building nice houses.”

A106 legal agreement attached to the development, if agreed by the developer, would give £132,000 to the Settle community towards a number of ongoing projects and future schemes.
