A BUSINESS which is approaching its 10th anniversary is moving to Skipton to occupy larger premises.

Carrs Windows Ltd will be moving to Airedale Business Park early this year from Asquith Industrial estate in Gargrave.

Ahead of the move, Carrs Windows Ltd is partnering with Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice Christmas tree collection service.

Between January 6 and 12 the team from Manorlands will be collecting Christmas trees with Carrs Windows taking trees collected in the Skipton area. Any household can register to have their tree collected for a small donation.

The company had the idea to help Manorlands Hospice as the heating system for the new workshop is powered by wood waste.

However, while the move is organised, they will instead heat the building with the used Christmas trees.

Off cuts will be used to heat the workshop in future, making the whole operation more sustainable.

Marc Carr, Director of Carrs Windows Ltd said

“I think it’s fairly safe to say most people know someone who has been affected by cancer. As Manorlands do such fantastic work in our local area, we are wanting to focus our fundraising towards them this year and this seems like a great place to start.”

Carrs Windows Ltd join Skipton Self Drive and Keighley Tree Services in supporting the fundraising operation. To register to have your Christmas tree collected by Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice for a small donation visit sueryder.org/christmastree or call 01535 640445.
