POLICE have said the conditon of a man who was allegedly assaulted outside Wetherspoon's pub, in Skipton, at the weekend, is 'critical but stable'.
A Skipton man in his 20s has been arrested and bailed by police following the alleged assault on a man, also in his 20s, outside the Devonshire Inn, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called to the incident at 1.15am.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Harrogate CID is investigating the assault.
The street was cordoned off for a while as investigations were carried out.
No further information has been released in relation to the incident at this time.
