KEYBURY Fire and Security has been shortlisted for a high profile accolade in national security industry awards that annually attract hundreds of entries from some of the biggest and best-known names in the business.

The Keighley-based company, which has a regional office in Skipton, is a finalist in the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year category of the 2019 Security & Fire Excellence Awards, widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry sector.

Keybury’s all-encompassing environmental impact – the company has put in place multiple measures to reduce waste and save energy at its headquarters in Worth Enterprise Park – has proved key in clinching a place among the finalists.

It comes on the back of the company earlier this year being crowned a ‘Plastic Free Business Champion’ – becoming, it is thought, the first security firm in the UK to receive the coveted honour.

Now in their 20th year, Security & Fire Excellence Awards have consistently broken new ground in highlighting the very best people, projects and processes that the security and fire sectors have to offer.

Keybury’s founder and managing director Frank Gee said: “We’re over the moon and honoured to have won a place in the finals of these prestigious national awards, which represent the pinnacle of achievement in our industry. To be listed among the great and good of the UK security sector is no mean feat.”

The company will be in attendance when winners of the 2019 Security & Fire Excellence Awards are announced and presented on Wednesday, November 20, at London Hilton on Park Lane. The awards ceremony is being hosted by Tess Daley, best known as co-host of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing

In the interim, Keybury’s ground-breaking work to protect the environment, which has been highly praised by Bradford Council, continues both in-house and externally. Always seeking to introduce new eco-friendly measures right across the company, the firm also supports Plastic Free groups across its West Yorkshire heartlands.
