THE Friends of the Dales charity has organised a litter pick this weekend concentrating on plastic tree guards which are placed around newly planted saplings.
The litter pick will go ahead in Otterburn, near Grove Farm, on Saturday, October 19 from 10am to 11.30am.
The charity is teaming up with the Plastic Free Skipton group to collect the guards which are no longer in use and either reuse or recycle them.
This action, the second by the group held at another farm, is in cooperation with Yorkshire Wildlife and Farming Partnership and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust who planted most to the trees in this area.
