CANVASSERS working for Pendle Council have been delivering the Annual Electoral Registration Forms, also known as Household Enquiry Forms, to homes across Pendle.

Residents are urged to complete the form and return it as soon as possible to continue to have a say on the things that matter to them.

Rachel Wilkinson, Elections Assistant, explained: “This is part of the annual voter registration process and you’re legally required to complete it.

“Every year you must check that your details are correct on the form and update them if necessary. If you don’t, you risk losing your right to vote.”

Responses are needed by Monday 12 August.

She added: “If the details are all correct you can confirm them by calling a freephone number, sending a text message or visiting the dedicated website – details of these are printed on the forms.

“You can also update the details of people living at your property via the website.

“It couldn’t be more convenient as telephone, text and internet registration are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“If you’re not currently registered, your name will not appear on the form.”
