THREE Craven businesses made it to the finals of the National Family Business Awards, in Wembley, with two coming home with silver and bronze medals.
Skipton’s Whitaker’s Chocolates, which celebrates 130 years in business won the silver award in the food and drink category.
William Whitaker, MD of the company said: “We run a business built on family values of trust, integrity and loyalty, so there couldn’t be a better accolade for us to share with our team.”
Also receiving an award was Yockenthwaite Farm which not only farms over 1,000 hill sheep, but makes breakfast cereals including granola, porridge and muesli. They took the bronze award.
Threshfield butchers H Weatherhead and sons were finalists.
