POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault left a man with head injuries in Skipton.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident occurred outside The Fleece pub, in Keighley Road between 3am and 3:30am on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27.
A man was knocked unconscious and received injuries to his head. The attacker then flagged a mini cab and made his escape.
A spokesman said: "In particular, we are appealing for any information about this attacker and the taxi he fled the scene in.
"The injured man was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was treated and discharged following treatment."
