SLOWS Food Kitchen, one of Skipton's youngest eateries, in Otley Street, will be hosting a craft and lunch event on Tuesday, March 26.
The restaurant will be the venue for a hand weaving workshop with vegetarian lunch, supplied by community interest company, Hart Yorkshire.
Participants are invited to a two-course lunch after a morning learning to create a wall hanging using modern weaving techniques.
Hart Yorkshire CIC design and deliver creative health and wellbeing workshops and events.
The focus and repetitive nature of craft is beneficial to mental health so Hart Yorkshire’s workshops are designed to be immersive, informative and great fun. The organisation teaches art and crafts at beginners’ level, allowing participants to grow their skills.
Workshops range from weaving and textiles to intuitive painting and modern folk art.
