A LONG Preston pub is taking part in PubAid’s World’s Biggest Pub Quiz for Prostate Cancer UK .
The Boar’s Head is rounding up the locals for the event on Monday, March 4 to raise money for the charity with the quiz beginning at 8pm.
PubAid Prostate Cancer UK, are calling on the pub and bar industry to host a fundraising quiz and raise money for charity.
All pubs will be sent a quiz pack when they sign up, and those raising money for Prostate Cancer UK will receive dedicated fundraising support and the opportunity to kit their pub out with “Man of Men” pin badges, collection tins and posters.
Over 11,000 men die from prostate cancer in the UK each year. That’s one man every 45 minutes. Money raised through this partnership will help fund ground-breaking research into better diagnostics, Co-founder of PubAid, Des O’Flanagan, said: “The quiz is a great way of recognising the fabulous work that UK pubs do for charity.”
