CROSS Hills firm Brooksbank Valves LTD has helped raise over £700 for Manorlands Hospice with a variety of fundraising efforts.

The company designs and manufactures a range of isolation valves used in naval defence, oil and gas, marine and chemical environments.

Staff helped raise the money through collections during the year, a festive raffle and donating money they would have spent on Christmas cards.

The funds raised will go to the Sue Ryder facility, Manorlands Hospice, which provides round the clock palliative care and support for families across the Craven Area and parts of Bradford.

Brooksbank also raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support through a coffee morning earlier in the year and helped organise donations of food from across the Yorkshire Dales for an annual Christmas hamper giveaway.

This year there was enough donated to create 13 food hampers, these have gone to a variety of members of the public who needed them, including Pendleside Hospice and the Salvation Army.

A spokesperson for Brooksbank Valves said: “This is the second year that we have supported Manorlands Hospice, we all know of the positive work that goes on there. It’s a large part of the community and we are proud to support it and are proud of all employees who have contributed to these fundraising events throughout the year.”
