A YORKSHIRE-based online training company has relocated to new premises at the Broughton Hall Estate in Skipton.

AdaptiVLE Ltd, based at the Sunderland Street Enterprise Centre, in Keighley, since 2015, has experienced steady growth over the last three years and needed a new base for its expanding team of staff.

The new premises are located in the old watermill and provide a significant upgrade in terms of size and facilities.

With a current staff of five, the learning technology company builds online training platforms and interactive courses for organisations around the world, counting The National Archives, Sainsbury’s and the University of Southern California among its clients.

With roots in further education, recent projects for The Premier League and Peacocks have seen the business out-grow its former premises in Keighley, prompting a move over the border to North Yorkshire.

Lewis Carr, managing director at adaptiVLE, said: “The eLearning landscape has changed so much over recent years. It used to be that organisations would create their own online courses and we would build platforms to host them on. Many of these courses were essentially just slide shows on a screen.

“Now that digital technology has become such a huge part of our day-to-day lives, more is expected from online learning - it needs to engage and provide real educational benefit to users, whilst ultimately delivering a return on investment for employers.

“Training managers are demanding more functionality from digital courses, in terms of personalised learning plans, tracking and reporting. Many organisations struggle to find the resource to produce high-end online staff training and that’s where the expertise of adaptiVLE can help. “Broughton Hall and the wider Craven area enjoy a thriving business community, which we look forward to becoming a part of.

"Geographically, we are now much closer to the main motorway networks and also have the added benefit of working in the beautiful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales. We look forward to welcoming current and future clients to our new home.”
