REHEARSALS are well under way for the staging of Settle Amateur Operatic Society's production 'Oh What A Lovely War' in the town's Victoria Hall.
The production will be staged from Monday, November 5 to Saturday, November 10.
All cast members play numerous characters who feature in an end of the pier show lampooning the futility of war.
The show includes music hall acts performing well known songs of the period, many of which would have indeed been heard in Settle Victoria Hall itself at the time.
It is an unusual piece of theatre chosen in respect of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.
