A TRAIL running event supporting Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is back for the second year.
Held at Bolton Abbey, ‘Run Bolton Abbey’, sponsored by Midgley Motors of Snaygill, Skipton, takes place on November 11and provides runners with a choice of four trail races suitable for all the family - a 10K, a 10 mile and a half marathon on trails around the stunning estate, some of which are not usually accessible to the public.
In addition to these three races there is a more sedate 2.4 mile fun run which heads alongside the River Wharfe to the Priory and returns on the other side of the river.
Molly Ralphson, Sue Ryder Community Fundraiser said: “The Run Bolton Abbey routes are all off-road routes taking in some stunning scenery. We are delighted to have Midgley Motors as our main sponsor. Bolton Abbey is especially beautiful in autumn and we expect it will become a firm favourite on the running calendar.”
Will Midgley, Dealer Principle of Midgley Motors said, “We are thrilled to be main sponsors of this hugely successful event for a fantastic local cause for the second year running. We hope it will raise thousands and help Sue Ryder continue their vital care for people in our community.”
The event is supported by volunteers from Skipton AC and partnered by the Bolton Abbey Estate and Keelham Farm Shop.
There will be no entries on the day and entries close on the November 8 if capacity is not hit before then.
