A SUTTON-in-Craven man who has denied a charge of assault and obstructing a police constable is to stand trial in December.
William Hitchinson, 23, of Hazel Grove, pleaded not guilty to assaulting PC Harrod and obstructing/resisting PC Middlemiss at Eastburn on June 1 this year.
He was given unconditional bail for a trial date at Skipton Magistrates' Court on December 18.
