WEST Craven Breastfeeding Friends (WCBFFs) will celebrate a year of success in Barnoldswick.
In early 2017, children’s centre funding was cut which meant the breastfeeding group no longer had a venue to meet, and so local breastfeeding mums decided to create their own group to support and inspire mums to reach breastfeeding goals.
With the help of Barnoldswick councillor David Whipp, WCBFFs was launched on May 23, 2017, and has met every Tuesday at Barnoldswick Civic Hall since its inception. As well as the weekly support group, WCBFFs has held special events such as The Big Latch On and Bump Buddies.
In March, WCBFFs received a Pride of Barnoldswick Award for outstanding service to the community.
Next Tuesday, WCBFFs will hold its first birthday party from 1pm to 3pm in the Civic Hall, featuring The Great Boob Group Bake Off, party games, photo studio and face painting. Entry is £1 per adult. All are welcome.
