A RESEARCH foundation are making young people in the city more aware about the importance of clean air.

Born in Bradford (BIB) are visiting St.Stephen's C Of E Primary School in BD5 to discuss the impact poor air can have on everybody's health.

Initially, BIB were going to have a van which had an inbuilt lab full of gadgets and gizmos on Clean Air Day (this Thursday), instead they and academics from Leeds University will be hosting a talk to parents and children.

Pupils will be able use equipment like sensors to monitor the local air quality.

There will also be a survey available from June 17 on the Born in Bradford website about clean air in the city.

Bradford is one of several cities who were told to clean its air, hence why the Clean Air Zone is going to be introduced in Bradford city centre, the Canal Road corridor and parts of Shipley early next year.
