OTLEY Town Council is asking for nominations to its Covid-19 Emergency Awards.

The council says it wants to reward the efforts made by individuals and groups to support the local community during this exceptionally difficult time.

The awards are open to anyone and there are no restrictions about who may be nominated or the number conferred. The winners will receive a certificate, to be presented at the 2021 Town Annual General Meeting in May.

A spokeswoman said: "If you know of a person or a group who has made a significant contribution to the welfare and support of Otley residents during the Covid-19 emergency, please complete and return a nomination form, available by e-mail from community@otleytowncouncil.gov.uk"

Anyone who can't download the form can obtain one by writing to Jason Knowles,

Otley Town Council, The Core, Unit 11, Orchard Street, Otley, LS21 3NX.

The deadline for nominations is Friday March 12. All nominations should be returned to Jason Knowles at The Core or by e-mail to community@otleytowncouncil.gov.uk.

A number of organisations in the town have played a key role in supporting Otley’s most vulnerable residents this year.
