LOCAL tapas restaurant, La Casita has launched Valentine’s Day food boxes to keep the business ticking over during lockdown. The food box is a set menu of six tapas dishes, one dessert and one bottle of wine. The meals are pre-prepared and come with full instructions for people to finish the cooking at home. Head chef and co-founder Simon Miller said: “It’s nice to give people something to look forward to. When we were trying to think what we could do, we thought it would be nice to let people get involved in the cooking process before enjoying our six most popular dishes in the comfort of their own home. For lots of couples Valentine’s Day is a special event and love shouldn’t wait because of lockdown. It’s also about business survival, and hopefully these food boxes will help La Casita come out of the pandemic on the other side.” The food box is £70 and it serves two people.
