A WEEKEND closure of Otley Bridge has passed without major problems.
The bridge was shut on Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29 - when a diversion to Pool Bridge was in place - so resurfacing work could be carried out on a section of Bridge Street.
Ward Councillor Colin Campbell said: “Generally things seem to have gone well. The works did not affect pedestrian access to town and a large number of people were able to walk down to the Farmers Market.”
Further evening closures of the bridge and Bridge Street were due to take place from 7pm to 1am on Monday, November 30; Tuesday, December 1; and Wednesday, December 2.
