THE OTLEY-BASED support group for Macmillan Cancer Support is urging people to consider an online donation this Christmas.
The charity’s Otley and Wharfedale fundraising group has been unable to hold its usual events this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But Macmillan’s need for funds to support people across the county and country continues.
A spokesperson for the Otley and Wharfedale group said: “Since March our fundraising events have unfortunately had to stop - but cancer didn’t. We have missed seeing the many people who support our events and hope to resume our fundraising as soon as we are permitted.
“The rising number of people being diagnosed means Macmillan needs all our help and support. So can we please ask in this season of goodwill that we all pull together to make a difference and make a donation online.” Donations can be made at https://macmillan-org.enthuse.com/otley/profile.
