MOTORISTS should expect some delays as they travel through Bramhope over the next few weeks.

Traffic light controls will be in place as Leeds City Council workers clean gullies and the drainage system on the A660 Leeds Road.

That scheme will start on Wednesday, September 23 and run through until Friday, September 25 with the work being done between 7.30pm and 11.30pm daily.

Then on Monday, September 28 council crews will be planning out and laying the final surface on part of the A660 Leeds Road - which has been reconfigured lately to accommodate Miller Homes’ 319 home Spring Wood Park development.

The area being treated runs from the Kings Road roundabout to the junction with High Ridge Way.

The surfacing works are set to be carried out over six to eight working days depending on the weather, and during off peak hours: from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

A number of side roads will be affected.
