Heather Read has died after a short illness
AIREBOROUGH Rotary’s first female president has died after a short illness. Heather Read passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 5.
A spokesman for the club said: “Her quiet and effective leadership had helped guide the club towards becoming more responsive and inclusive. Our thoughts are with all her family at this very sad time.”
Heather’s funeral will be held at 10.45am on Monday, August 17, at Rawdon St. Peter’s Parish Church following a private family cremation.
