A TEENAGE singer from Otley will join forces with other performers to put on an ‘unmissable’ music show this weekend.

Eighteen year old Emeli Mumford will present What Dreams Are Made Of at Otley All Saints Parish Church on Saturday, February 22.

The Prince Henry’s Grammar School (PHGS) student and a group of talented friends will sing hit songs from various musicals. Emeli recently reached the semi-finals of the West End Calling singing competition just weeks after performing as Princess Shahazerad in the Ilkley Upstagers’ pantomime, Sinbad and then as Glynda in the PHGS performance of The Wiz.

She is auditioning for drama schools in London and Manchester this week while also squeezing in rehearsals for Saturday’s show.

The other performers who are taking part are: Elliot Broadfoot, Ashley Hartley, Jasmine Lee, Daisy Wade, Rifka Hargrave, Isy Yates, Becca Hall, Ella Hyde and Jess Parnell.

Tickets will be available on the door (cash only) and cost £5 or £3 for concessions, with refreshments available before the show and during the interval. Proceeds will go towards the cost of Emeli’s auditions and there will also be a raffle in aid of Save the Children.
