ILKLEY venue, The Yard has chosen Outside the Box as its Christmas Charity and is hosting a series of events to raise money for the community enterprise and café.

The fundraising will start with a Christmas Charity Music Weekender on Saturday, December 14 with the band Remember Hillards and a performance by Joe Doonan on Sunday, December 15. During the weekend the venue will donate £2 from sales of its Christmas Cocktail Christmas Cake Martini, as well as £1.50 from every Mulled Cider, and £1 from every Rocking Rudolph beer.

Other events include a Christmas raffle that will run throughout the month with prizes that include a £200 voucher to spend at The Kings Head, Kettlewell, a bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne and a meal for two up for grabs.

Jenna Peel from Outside the Box said: “We are very happy to be chosen as the Yard’s charity of choice for their fundraising efforts this Christmas. We are grateful for the local support at Outside the Box, and the money raised will go towards supporting our many services working with adults with learning disabilities”

Ali Allawa from The Yard said: “ We’ve worked with Outside the Box previously which is such a fantastic local community enterprise and look forward to doing so again over Christmas.”
