ROTARIANS have enjoyed a tour of Ilkley Manor House.

Members of Ilkley Rotary Club were shown around the historic Castle Yard venue and given an insight into the Ilkley Manor House Trust’s plans for it.

The Trust’s Chair, Sarah Thomas and Operations Manager, Nick Robinson described the many activities - including art, music, weddings, lectures, dance and more - that are held there.

They also gave an insight into the annual expenses and income of the Trust which was set up to safeguard the property as a community asset after the Manor House Museum and Art Gallery closed in 2015.

The visitors enjoyed some coffee and biscuits before leaving to take a look around the recently updated All Saints Church and Heritage Centre. The Rotarians finished off their day out with lunch at The Flying Duck where they were shown around the micro brewery that has been established in an old barn behind the pub.
