A FUNDRAISING Wharfedale cafe has celebrated its tenth anniversary.
Cock Pit Farm Tea Rooms at Weston, near Otley, reached the landmark this month when staff and customers celebrated by tucking into a giant cake.
The business has held all kinds of events during each year of the past decade for a variety of good causes. Owner Sue Sansbury said: “We have raised £35,449 for charity over the ten years, while I have baked 35,000 scones and generally had a great time. Thanks to all who support us and to my great staff and friends.
“I’m proud to say many people have been coming to see us since September, 2009. Here’s to another ten years!” The cafe’s next fundraiser will be a - fully booked - charity quiz on Friday, September 20.
