A PROLONGED ‘have a go’ event will be held during this year’s Otley Folk Festival.

The session, which is being dubbed (Probably) The World’s Longest Open Mic, takes place at The Manor House pub from 4pm on Friday, September 21 through to 6.30pm on Saturday, September 22.

Proceeds from the open mic will go to two local charities - Otley Action for Older People and the Leeds and District ABC Support Group.

This year’s Folk Festival, meanwhile, takes place from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 and will see lots of different acts performing at venues across Otley including the revamped Black Horse,

The participating artists this year will include Chris Newman and Máire Ni Chathasaig, Phil Beer, Flossie Malavialle, Plumhall, Bill Jones, Monkeys Fist, Robin Garside, Dave Vermond and many more.
