HORSFORTH School has announced that this year 26 per cent of all A Level grades awarded are at A*-A, "reflecting the hard work and dedication of the students".
The school says the average grade achieved was a B across all subjects and says it is proud to be one of the top sixth forms in Leeds giving students the best chance of going to a top university.
Many of its students are looking forward to going on to study physics, engineering, history, economics and veterinary science among other subjects.
The school said: "Individual standout successes for students with bright futures include, Finn Goodall and Elisa Martinez who achieved four A* grades and will go on to study at the University of Cambridge and the University of Leeds respectively. Along with Polly Lavelle who is going to study History and Antonia Ledda Philosophy, Politics and Economics, both at the University of Oxford.
Headteacher Dr Paul Bell added: "We are incredibly proud of all our students. Their commitment and dedication to their studies has paid off and they are a credit to us and their families. We wish them all the very best of luck for the future."
