A COMMUNITY choir at Otley has celebrated its tenth anniversary.

Otley Courthouse Choir members tucked into a specially made cake before splitting up for their summer break.

The choir meets at the arts venue from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Tuesdays during school term times.

They will meet up again, following the summer interval, on October 1.

The group is run by Dave and Liz Stewart who always welcome new members.

Liz said: “We were all amazed at the anniversary event by realising how many songs we have sung over the years - 286, from all over the world.

“And we recalled happy memories over a cream cake topped with summer fruit, before starting the summer break.”
