A MEETING to discuss how Otley can help tackle climate change will take place next week.
The open event will be held at the Town Council’s Otley Core offices on Orchard Gate from 7.30pm on Wednesday, July 17. Otley 2030 has organised the meeting as a follow-up to the council’s declaration, in March, of a climate emergency. The council has also set a 2030 target for Otley becoming carbon neutral.
Andy Boyle from Otley 2030 said: “The momentum behind the response to the climate crisis is really breathtaking and, frankly, it needs to be. This event is about coming together as a community to decide what kind of a future we want.”
Attendance is free but places can be booked at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/otley-2030-all-hands-on-deck-tickets-64820785715 .
