THE DONKEY Sanctuary Leeds is promising a ‘great day out for all the family’ at its Summer Open Day.
The event takes place at the charity’s centre on Swan Lane, Eccup from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, July 7 and is free to enter.
Gala games, a bouncy castle and dog agility and fun activities - dogs on leads are welcome - will be among the entertainment on offer.
There will also be craft, trade and charity stalls while refreshments, including homemade treats and a barbecue, will be available in the Food Hall.
Visitors can meet the resident donkeys and find out more about the donkey-facilitated learning they enable at the centre, and there will be a chance to join the ‘adopt a donkey’ scheme, too.
Leeds Centre Manager Cathryn Hampshire, said: “Our Summer Open Day is going to be a celebration of our charity 50 Years on!
“It will be filled with community magic offering something for all ages, whilst keeping the focus on our lovely donkeys and the benefits they have brought to so many lives, past and present.”
All proceeds will help fund the work of The Donkey Sanctuary.
