THREE Otley students are celebrating receiving offers from Cambridge University.

Harriet Jeffery, Jack Auchterlounie and Emily Wallis, from Prince Henry’s Grammar School, all had to go through a tough application process. The Year 13 students were interviewed and had to complete additional written papers before securing their places.

Harriet and Jack have received offers to study Mathematics at Girton College, while Emily has an offer to study Modern and Medieval Languages at Magdalene College.

The trio, who achieved top grades at GCSE, have been following the Academic Pathways programme at Prince Henry’s which helps students who are seeking to apply to the top universities.

Assistant Headteacher in Post 16 Learning, Claire Willis, said: “Courses at Cambridge are so competitive and we are enormously proud of Harriet, Jack and Emily. They are extremely hardworking and thoroughly deserve these offers.

“Every year we help our most academically capable students with their ambitions to reach for the top and it is lovely when their hard work pays off.”
