OTLEY’s distinctive take on a classic Christmas carol has been released as a single.

The Twelve Days of Otley Christmas was recorded as the centrepiece for the town’s festive promotional film this year.

The video, which features 12 things to see and do in town, has now reached more than 55,000 people on the Visit Otley Facebook page and been viewed another 4,300 times on YouTube.

Its song, led by local choir Sally’s Army, is available to buy* from digital music services including iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify and Deezer.

Its release coincides with a linked Twelve Days of Otley Christmas giveaway which runs from Wednesday, December 12 to Sunday, December 23. During that period visitors to the Visit Otley Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/visitotley/ - will be able to enter a daily prize draw to win locally sourced gifts.

Otley BID Chair Steph Lee said: “We have had such a tremendous response to the video that we thought releasing it as a single would be great fun.

“Many of our shops and businesses have commented on how welcome the additional publicity created by the video has been.”
