A MAGICAL tale about a guinea pig's struggle to save Christmas will be brought to dramatic life in Otley next month.

Topsy Turvy Theatre is returning to the Courthouse on Saturday, December 15 to deliver two performances of Christopher’s Christmas.

The story starts on Christmas Eve when Christopher Nibble and his family are putting the finishing touches to their tree when their festive fun is disturbed by a shocking radio announcement: Father Christmas' Sat Nav is broken, and he's lost!

The guinea pigs gather together to hatch a plan to save the day but everything they do seems to only cause chaos and calamity, and when a power cut strikes their cause seems doomed.

Does Christopher Nibble have the seasonal spirit to save the day? Or will the guinea pigs of Dandeville wake up to empty stockings this year?

The play, which uses striking puppets and handmade, interactive scenery, is the result of a collaboration between the creator of Christopher Nibble, Charlotte Middleton, and Claire Alizon Hills of Topsy Turvy Theatre.

It has been written especially for children aged from two to seven and their families.

Christopher’s Christmas will be shown at 11.30am and 2.30pm on December 15, with the later show already nearly sold out.

Tickets cost £9 for adults and £7 for children and can be booked by visiting www.otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or popping into the Courthouse, on Courthouse Street.
