CANTORES Olicanae choir invite you to an evening of music by Vivaldi and Handel on Saturday, November 17t at 7.30pm in St Margaret’s Church, Ilkley.
This musical feast comprises two well-known and popular works. Handel’s ‘Ode on St Cecilia’s Day’ is a delightful cantata dedicated to the patron saint of musicians. Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ is his most famous choral piece and the distinctive melodies and rhythms give it an immediate and universal appeal.
The performance of ‘Gloria’ will be a ‘Come and Sing’ event, where guests sing alongside members of the choir.
The choir will be led by their Musical Director, Rory Johnston, and accompanied by The Vine Ensemble.
