STAFF at an Otley GP practice have been donning pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The team at Westgate Surgery - part of OnePrimaryCare - dressed up to support the national campaign on Friday, October 19.

Thousands of organisations have been taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month to help increase knowledge about the condition and spot early warning signs.

A OnePrimaryCare spokeswoman said: “We aim to make people aware of the dangers, tell-tale signs, and necessary procedures to most effectively combat the illness.

“That’s why, this October, Westgate Surgery is doing whatever it can to support the cause, fundraise and raise awareness - and looking good whilst doing it!”

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lives. Early detection greatly increases the chances of survival.
