GUISELEY Art Club is preparing to hold its annual art exhibition - with some of this year’s proceeds going to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The event will take place at Guiseley Methodist Church Hall on Oxford Road from 10.30am to 4.30pm on November 3 and from 12 noon to 4pm on November 4.

Members will display a wide range of pictures in a variety of media, including watercolour, acrylics and oils. There will also be a craft table and greetings cards.

A spokeswoman said: “This is an ideal opportunity to purchase a unique Christmas gift. Why not come along, talk to club members and support local artists.”

She added: “This year a percentage of proceeds from art sales will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind; funding is vital to ensure continued training for guide dogs.”

The exhibition will be officially opened by Kevin Beesting, Co-ordinator for the Otley and Aireborough Support Group for Guide Dogs. The official opening will take place at 12.30 on Saturday, November 3. Admission to the exhibition is free. There is free parking and disabled access.
