A HORSE trapped in mud was rescued by firefighters this afternoon.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton were called to Richards Farm in Wheatley, Halifax, at just after 3.20pm to help free the animal.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the horse had gone out of a stable and into muddy fields, where she sunk right to the top of her legs.
It's not known how long she had been there for, but firefighters managed to rescue the horse and assist her up banking where she was checked over by a vet.
