From Community contributor

What is your response?Condolences to family and friends of the young man who very sadly passed away. However, recent threats made by some in retaliation to this tragic and sad outcome are equally as irresponsible and unjustified as, no doubt, the series of events that led up to the incident. Let the relevant agencies deal with any matters of justice and accountability.

What is your response?I met James only once about 5 years ago in The Queens in Bingley, I had never met him before, he came over to me to ask if I was related to a girl he knew, the girl was my daughter, he said we were the spit of each other and that is why he asked, he also said he thought I was her sister, not mother (cheeky chap) he was a very friendly guy, we chatted for a little while and went our separate ways. To hear what had happened to him was such a blow, I am a mother of a 30 year and a 21 year old and I just can not imagine the pain James' family are going through. Just seeing all the comments on Facebook and all the people of Bingley getting involved just show how much he was loved and also show what an absolute tragedy this is. RIP James' you lovely young man x

I know one of your friends and I know how totally devastated he is by your loss. As a mum I can't begin to imagine the sorrow your family are feeling right now. You are now in a place where only the good go and you will never again have to face the evil of this world we live in. God bless you and your family and friends. What is your response?Tragically, a young life needlessly lost, for what? My heart goes out to his family and I hope that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice. It is equally important that the powers that be consider whether these premises are reviewed and whether they should be allowed to continue trading.

From Josh Gill

What is your response? You will be forever treasured in my heart and mind James, you had a heart of gold and i am honoured to call you my friend. Sleep tight mate xxx

From Sharon Wilkinson

What is your response? My sincere condolences to all of James's family. I did not know James but my son Luke Wilkinson knew James and is a friend of his on facebook. Luke my son was attacked at the same nightclub in early April 2017, they followed him after Luke had been thrown out of the nightclub. Luke had cuts and bruises and also had a big cut on his head. Anyone who can do that to a young lad and take his life needs locking up and throwing away the key. I cannot even imagine what you are all going through my heart goes out to you all.
