Superstar magician Dynamo had a few tricks up his sleeve for queuing Bradford City fans today as they braved the cold to buy tickets for the cup semi-final against Aston Villa.

The magic supremo, who has been spending Christmas back in Bradford with family, put in a surprise appearance at Valley Parade to keep fans entertained.

Queuing had started in the early hours before season-ticket holders tickets went on sale for the highly anticipated Capital One Cup clash which is played over two legs.

By the time Dynamo, real name Steven Frayne, arrived there were hundreds of fans lining up – among them was 62-year-old Christine Brown, of Drighlington, who pulled a surprise stunt of her own by grabbing him for a cheeky kiss.

She said: “I just love him and Bradford City. What a treat!”

But there was an anxious moment for the first fan in the queue who got to the ticket counter after arriving at 1am to find his credit card would not work.

To help beat the queuing blues, free bacon butties and cups of tea were given out to patiently waiting fans as they were entertained by Dynamo.

But celebrity conjurer would not be drawn on making any predictions for the big match, saying: “I wouldn’t want anyone saying they’d only won because of my magic so I’m leaving it up to them!”
