A BRADFORD TV doctor has urged people aged over 25 to have their Covid vaccine.

Dr Amir Khan says the early signs for the over-25s taking up the vaccination offer are encouraging but called for more to ‘go for it’.

Over-25s in England are being called forward to get their Covid-19 vaccination from yesterday, the Health Secretary has announced.

Matt Hancock said that people aged 25 to 29 will be invited to book their jab as he signalled the start of the final stage of the vaccination programme.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine today, Dr Amir said: “We want as many young people to get vaccinated as quickly as possible. Especially before the June 21 lockdown restrictions are eased.

“The key message is young people go for it.

“We’re seeing huge numbers going for it, which is great.”
