A TWENTY home housing scheme at Ling Haw Hill/Brow Top, Glusburn, which was approved on appeal in 2017, is to come before Craven District Council’s planning committee on May 17 seeking reserved matters approval for appearance and landscaping.

There is also a Section 106 legal agreement to deliver affordable homes and a contribution to public open space.

Officers are recommending a decision be deferred and the planning manager authorised to approve the application conditionally subject to a Dead of Variation to secure six affordable homes. This application includes an amendment to change plots 4,5 and 6 to one-and-a-half storey dwellings.

The original reserved matters plan, which did not have the latest amendments, is subject to a non-determination appeal.

The committee is also discussing this first application with the officer’s report setting out what the council’s decision would have been if determined. The recommendation was for refusal, citing adverse visual effects to the locality.
