HERE we go back to 2014, when Keighley army cadet Aaron Jefford was presented with an award after going to the aid of a road accident victim.
The youngster gave first aid to the man – who had been struck by a car in Highfield Lane, Keighley – and remained with him until police and paramedics arrived.
Aaron, a member of the Keighley Detachment of the Yorkshire North and West Army Cadet Force, was presented with a national First Aider of the Year Award from St John Ambulance.
He is pictured being congratulated by Keighley’s then town mayor, Graham Mitchell.
