PLANS for 41 homes on a site at Long Lee have been recommended for approval despite objections.

An outline application for 45 houses at the site, off Redwood Close, was given the go-ahead by Bradford Council in 2018.

Last year more-detailed plans were submitted by Accent Housing and Urban Construction Interiors – which included just 32 homes.

But since then the developer has purchased the neighbouring High Fold Farm – and is now also seeking to build nine homes on that site.

The plans are in the form of two applications. One is to demolish homes and farm buildings at High Fold Farm and build nine houses, and the other is for 32 homes on the larger section of the site.

Objectors argue that the scheme will lead to increased pressure on local roads and schools.

However, planning officers are recommending approval.

The applications go before the council’s regulatory and appeals committee on Thursday.
