A CARE home resident has spoken of her joy at once again being able to hold her son’s hand.
New Covid-19 guidelines regarding indoor visits by named people meant 83-year-old Anne Wiseman could see son Martin face-to-face.
Anne – a resident at Townend Close care home, in Victoria Road, Cross Hills – said she was “overjoyed”.
“It’s just lovely to hold Martin’s hand again,” she added.
“It is great after all that’s happened.
“The team at Townend Close has been amazing looking after all of us here, but it means so much to see my family again.”
Townend Close manager Sharon Mackie said the care team at the home had worked hard to ensure visits could be carried out safely.
She added: “We are delighted to facilitate visits. It is so heart-warming and rewarding that residents are once again seeing their loved ones in person and are able to hold hands.”
