FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a bin chute at a high-rise block of flats.
Crews from across the district attended the incident, at Ebor Court, in Westgate Gardens, Keighley, today.
The fire was on the third floor of the building.
A hose reel was used from the level above to extinguish the flames.
Crews from Keighley, Bingley, Shipley, Silsden and Bradford fire stations – plus an aerial appliance – were called out to the incident, at 9.15am.
The fire – the cause of which is unclear – was restricted to the bin chute, but there was some smoke-logging.
No evacuation was necessary.
