A THEATRE group is seeking a new home for its props.

The plea has been issued by Haworth West Lane Baptist Amateur Operatic Society, which is losing its current storage area.

The society has been performing at West Lane Baptist Church since 1964.

Its annual productions have been enjoyed by thousands over the years and have supported the church and charities through raffles.

And the society has performed at venues including East Riddlesden Hall and at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton.

Spokesman Ian Dobson said: “We have built-up a collection of flooring, lights, props and other items. At the moment these are stored ‘next door’ in the Methodist Church but sadly the church is closing and we need to find alternative storage – preferably in the Haworth area. Currently we are taking-up around 13 by ten metres but an audit would almost certainly reduce this.”
